We go in when the convoys leave, we use trackers we have worked with for years, and we will tell you honestly that Wilpattu is often better than Yala despite being less famous.
Between July and September the elephant gathering at Minneriya is one of the great wildlife sights in Asia and almost nobody plans around it.
